Urban lighting design
Since 2015, Chapelet Studio has designed LED street lights for Fontes de Paris, a French manufacturer. The brand's new head wanted modern, exclusive products alongside its classic lanterns. The studio answered with very slim lights, innovative in form and in function, designed for controlled manufacturing.
KJ, winner of the Design Plus Award
After five years of development, KJ was launched in 2020 and won the Design Plus Award at Light + Building the same year. It dissipates heat very efficiently and opens without tools for maintenance. It was a success from its first year. In 2025, a smaller, rectangular version was launched: KJ-R.
Lumada, a classic modernised
Lumada modernises an older product from the Fontes de Paris catalogue with LEDs, at an even lower manufacturing cost. Launched in 2023, it is another commercial success.
Connected, recycled lights
KJ and Lumada can be fitted with the latest technologies: presence detection, light-level detection and Wi-Fi remote control, using Zhaga standards. They are cast in aluminium recycled from cans: 7 kg of aluminium per light, the equivalent of about 470 cans.
