Gradient.
Gradient is an urban barrier with graphic lines, designed by Stéphane Chapelet for Lab23®. Its steel slats follow a progressive orientation that creates dynamism and visual movement.
Inspired by kinetic architecture
Gradient is inspired by kinetic architecture, which creates visual movement. Walking along the barrier, you see the pattern shift, open and close.
A progressive slat orientation
The slats' orientation changes progressively, like a gradient. Lined up, several barriers extend this visual movement along a street or a square.
Very safe
The gap between the slats is small, which makes the barrier very safe. Gradient defines spaces and protects pedestrians in streets, squares, pedestrian areas and around public buildings.
Made in Italy
Gradient is made in Italy by Lab23®.
Lab23, an Italian manufacturer, makes street furniture in Italy from steel, Corten, wood and Hypergranite. It shows the studio's designs alongside those of Zaha Hadid, at Milan's Fuorisalone and in the specialist press.
