Bold.

Bold is an innovative bus shelter designed by Stéphane Chapelet for Lab23®. It can be connected and fitted with USB charging. Its simple lines are well proportioned and elegant, true to the studio's work.

Born from research into manufacturing

Bold's concept came from research into optimising manufacturing. The uprights are extruded, bent aluminium profiles, joined by cast-iron connecting pieces. Few components and a simple assembly mean streamlined manufacturing.

A continuous form

This assembly creates an elegant, original and modern continuity of form. The deliberately thick structure gives the shelter its presence in the street: its name evokes that thickness, like a bold typeface. Its forms are simple yet hollowed out, so the whole looks both solid and carefully designed.

A connected, protective shelter

Bold can be connected and offer USB charging to travellers. Its side and back panels are toughened safety glass, and its polycarbonate roof is very strong.

Made in Italy

Bold is made in Italy by Lab23®.

Lab23, an Italian manufacturer, makes street furniture in Italy from steel, Corten, wood and Hypergranite. It shows the studio's designs alongside those of Zaha Hadid, at Milan's Fuorisalone and in the specialist press.
